Mike Munnik

Mike Munnik (Pr Eng, BSc(CivEng), MBA) is a director of AGAMA Energy. Mike has for the past three decades gained solid experience, both local and international, in the construction industry and predominantly as a senior manager with an international oil company.

Having a keen interest in environmental sustainability within the built environment, Mike joined AGAMA in 2005, and has been intimately involved and responsible for several significant green buildings, including the head office for BP Southern Africa in the V&A Waterfront, the Portside commercial office development, Karl Bremer Administrative Centre, and SANRAL regional office in Port Elizabeth.

He brings wide-ranging project management and corporate experience, and a passion for sustainability to the projects in which he is involved. Mike is a founding Board member of the Green Building Council of South Africa, a Green Star certification assessor and an Accredited Professional (AP-New Buildings, AP-Existing Buildings).

Nicholas Gorrie

Green Building Consultant

Nicholas Gorrie

Nick holds a degree in B.Sc Property Studies from the University of Cape Town. He has 4 years' experience in the property developing and construction industry and 3 years experience as a Green Building Consultant. He has a passionate interest in sustainability and green building design, as well as a long practiced general sustainability conduct. Nick joined AGAMA in 2013 and is a Green Star SA Accredited Professional (New Buildings and EDGE). Some of the exciting projects that Nick has been a sustainability consultant on is Portside (West Bank Group Head Offices), Karl Bremer Hospital New Administration Offices as well as the implementation of the GSSA Socio-Economic Category (Design) for the project, SANRAL PE Head Office, V&A Waterfront "Waterway House' offices, Redefines' Golf Air Park industrial project (including the development of the GSSA Custom Industrial Rating Tool) and the UCT New Lecture Theatre. 

Ann-Mari Malan

Green Building Consultant

Ann-Mari Malan

Ann-Mari Malan joined AGAMA in 2007 as Bookkeeper and Office Administrator. She has thirteen years of experience in Office Administration, Payroll and Bookkeeping to Management Accounts level and has gained experience in the energy field in her time with AGAMA. Ann-Mari is a Green Star Accredited Professional (AP-New Buildings GBCSA). She has assisted project teams in successfully achieving Green Star SA building ratings for their projects.

Matthew Gough

Sustainability Engineer

Matthew is a MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering student at University of Cape Town. He graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2013 with a BEng (Civil) and has two years experience in the construction industry with a major construction company as a Site Engineer on the Mall of the South shopping centre development in Johannesburg. Matthew joined AGAMA as a Sustainabiity Engineer in 2016.
