- Renewable Energy Study for the ELIDZ (2009) – lead consultant in a project commissioned by the East London IndustrialDevelopment Zone that identified the energy service needs in the ELIDZ and Eastern Cape, and identified energy efficiency andrenewable energy opportunities for investment within the ELIDZ and Eastern Cape, with the aim to outline the potential ofestablishing a renewable energy manufacturing hub and the potential of renewable energy generation in the IDZ and province.
- Sustainable Cities: Biogas Energy from Waste (2009) – the South African Cities Network (SACN) commissioned this technicalstudy including the development of a decision tool and guide book for municipalities to assess biogas from waste options.Outputs are available at http://www.sacities.net/members/new_publication.stm.
- Pre-feasibility for Gawie-se-Water Hydro (2008) – AGAMA Energy was contracted by Die Krommerivier Besproeiingsraad to conducta pre-feasibility of a hydro on a water transfer scheme near Wellington in the Western Cape.
- Technical and financial assessment of utilising Municipal Solid Waste and Waste Water for energy generation (2008) – AGAMAEnergy was appointed by the Sustainability Institute on behalf of UNDP to undertake this technology and feasibilityassessment of waste streams within the City of Cape Town.
- A Sustainable Energy Strategy for THDev (2008) – AGAMA Energy was appointed to develop an energy strategy for developmentprojects proposed by THDev.
- Preliminary analysis of integrated waste management and energy options (2008) – AGAMA Energy was commissioned by Country BirdHoldings to undertake this preliminary cost-benefit analysis, which led to clear recommendations on the optimum utilisationof the different biowaste resources.
- Feasibility study for biogas to energy systems at pig farms (2008) – AGAMA Energy was appointed by Premier Pork Producers toundertake feasibility assessments at ten piggery units, including technical and financial cost-benefit analyses, and carbonrevenues and the utilisation of fertilisers.
- Technical review of biomass to energy proposals (2008) – AGAMA Energy was appointed by Working for Water (DWA) to review bidsreceived from their public call for energetic (electrical) utilisation of alien vegetation arising from the Programme, and tomake recommendations around best technological practices.
- Energy recovery from municipal solid waste in South Africa (2006) – a prefeasibility study for the Department of Science andTechnology. The study established a framework for assessing energy from waste opportunities for six municipalities andpresented the opportunities in terms of a techno-economic analysis with case studies.
- Financial modelling of solar water heating for the N2 Gateway Project (2006) – AGAMA Energy developed financial models fordifferent modes of service delivery of hot water from solar water heating for the City of Cape Town.
- Business plan for Walvis Bay wind energy generation (2006) – AGAMA Energy was contracted through Emcon Consulting Group toprovide financial consulting services surrounding the proposed Walvis Bay wind project. The financial performance of theproposed 220 kW facility was modelled and a sensitivity analyses were conducted into the key input parameters.
- Solar-heated water for the hostels-to-homes upgrade at Lwandle (1998) – prior to the establishment of AGAMA Energy in 2000, Glynn Morris provided engineering design and supervision services for the implementation of over 300 large SWH systems for communal showers in an urban housing upgrade project.
- Southern African Wildlife College (1997) – Energy consultancy services for WWF-SA on a R30 million KfW-funded greenfields development of a Wildlife College in the Kruger National Park. The appointment included strategic energy planning and inputs and normal engineering services for the design and supervision of solar water heating and solar PV systems for the SAWC.
